EPIC

Curse you Jitteryjoe I wanted say exactly what you did and now I can't do it without risking to be called a copycat.

If only I came here 20 minutes sooner >.<

P.S The only reson im giving not this a 20 is beacuase the frigin newgrounds don't let me give better than 10. but thats it!

There's just one thing that annoys me

While I do believe that this is a great parody, no seriously I nearly peed in my pants from laugher, there's one thing that annoys me. How come EVERYONE does pokémon parodies about pokémon Red/Blue? I know those where classics, but come on, can't anyone have the originality to at least do one about Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire or Diamond/Pearl? And also, jokes about the fact that Oak doesn't know his grandson's name are just way too overused. Also, little thing that people doesn't know. In pokémon Red/Blue, the player character is NOT Ash Ketchum. His actual name is Red (yeah, Red from Pokémon Red, how original, I know).

Nevertheless, it was pretty funny! I liked the fact that pedobear came out when Red said "I'm gonna go unacompanied by adults!" xD

RyanHatesMilk responds:

Well I was half parodying the games and half parodying the tv show's, and Ash is the more universally known name. Is his name Red in pokemon Blue too?? Weird, I didn't know that.

Also, I've only played red/blue/yellow/gold and silver. So that's why I did red and blue. Who knows, maybe at some point i'll move onto parodying gold and silver.

About the Rukario thing

I think I might be the first one to notice this, but its probably not even an error. Rukario might simply be the Lucario's NICKNAME. Come one guys you can't seriously haven't figuired this out already -_-

NCH responds:

it IS his nickname. its already stated in the first pokemon hunter animation.

Finaly

I've seen tons of stupid forums posts on newgrounds about furries, most of them full of hate and misconception.

I have to say, as a furry, it is very a pleasent surprise to find some light on this place. I mostly agree with everything you say.

Also, I would like to add something about the misconception #6

Sex in fursuits isn't just gross, its also very hard to practice (or at least I guess so, I never tried, and I won't try it either). See it that way, sex can be considered as a good physical excercise. Fursuits may feel like wearing a mascot suit. Those things are just way too hot! Most people can't last for a long time wearing them without blacking out! And now you expect us to do something like sex in those suits? Come on, most people who tried that probably died from the heat, its just ridiculous. I can't believe some people even tried it :/

How to instantly dismember your whole victim

Here's a funny thing to do that will completely dismember your victim all at once!

FIrst of all, you must nail the head. Be aware this would usualy kill your target. To avoid this, there is a glitch for it. Start by holding the face, and quickly move up so your mouse isn't on it, and then press ctrl (cmd if you are on a mac). It will nail the last point you clicked (the face) but it wont damage as much. Once that is done, just pull on the guys upper body until it tears off. If done right, the whole body will get dismembered ALL AT ONCE.

Enjoy the bloodshed!

Not bad, not bad at all.

Alright, so this is a good old shoot 'em up defence game. And THIS, is a long ass review about it (XP)

Design (7/10) Okay, when it comes to the whole design thing, nothing much impressive, still your old, classic shoot 'em up defence game like we've seen so much. However, when it comes to the design of the characters and enemies, there's something we don't see everyday, which is why I give this a fairly good score for the design. The fact of having the two Characters being Furries, while the enemies aren't, kinda makes them "stand out of the crowd", so we quickly recognize them, and the red and blue pairing along with both characters' fairly different looks kinda both make them unique in their own way, and they don't look like they have overused concepts. So its nothing too much, but still just enough. What I really like though is the design of the enemies. Zombies from pot? Haha, that's just at the same time funny, yet still refreshing from the (overused) virus zombie infection thing (that is starting to get a bit old too). Also, using fans for holding off zombies is at the same time funny and clever :)

Gameplay (8/10) While there isn't anything especialy impressive, the game itself handles well. No big glitches, no spasmic controls, and the game is very quick to get ahold of even if you never played it. Also, the AI (your ally) works fine, I don't have any complaints about it.

Graphics (6/10) Well, it ain't ugly, but it ain't fantastic either. The effects are minimal but still present, and some of the models could be more detailed.

Overall rating: 7/10 (3.5/5)

Some minor suggestions:
- The red 9: First of all, its not a red 9, its a C96 (mauser). The nickname Red 9 comes from the red 9 on its handle (showing it was in 9mm), and that was a nickname from RE4, so better just use the real name. Also, you shouldn't make it a basic weapon, since its a quite powerful pistol, and its very rare.

- Other upgrades: Non-weapons upgrade, other than the fan, could be interesting. Things like better defences (barricades and such), barbed wires to damage enemies when they attack, turrets, etc

This song never gets old.

Man, I've downloaded this on my Ipod like 3 years ago and forgot about it over time. Now I come back in the portal and its STILL in the best songs, even after 4 years! I honestly have to congratulate you on your success. This is indeed, a great song, with alot of different instruments, making a good symphony, and good sound effects.

The song starts with a solid, yet not aggresive, violon track, that already grabs the attention, then, it is followed by a relaxed flute melody, along with the smooth sound of birds signing, drving deeply the listener into the relaxed and clam melodies of this song. Then another violon comes in to support the flute in its smooth, easy to listen to, melody, with long fine notes. Then comes the percussions, in a crescendo, and everything intensifies. After the crescendo, everything is intense, without being aggressive for the ear. It keeps its refined touch. I especialy like the flute riff at 1:17, witch adds intensity, while keeping a very gorgeous sound. Then finaly, the song finishes with a fading decrescendo, giving a smooth ending. This song defenitively keeps us on our toes.

Songs like this aren't seen much these days. By songs like this, I don't mean in the style, I mean in its refineness. Even metal can be as gorgeous as this. Exemples of such things are songs like No leaf clover by Metallica, or Vermillion by Slipknot, but there aren't as much as songs like these as there should be. Unfortunately, many bands just pick up a riff, play it over and over with a few or almost no variations to make a chorus, a verse and an interlude, and call it a song. I would like to give exemples of such songs, but it would bring over me the hate of 12 years old fanboys that are totaly devoted to their favourite bands even due to their lack of refineness, so I won't do that. I think that everyone, including professional songwritters should inspire themselves from your song. Tt is truly an amazing masterpiece of musical art.

10/10 is the only possible rating that I can give to such a song. Anyone who says that this song is bad is either uncult to music, or completely deaf.

Great

Would be awesome if used as a main theme in a medieval RTS game.

Gravey responds:

I couldn't agree more. :-)

Nice

I always had difficulties playing the chords on this part of this song on my guitar.

But you should maybe have tried to tune your guitar back to the normal tuning (eBGDAE, or EADGBe if you preffer to say it this way).

My 10/10 rating is not for the song, but your talent as a guitarist.

Great job.

Kool-Aid responds:

Thank you very much :D

Dang it

One of my friends was alergic to adorableness and when I showed this to him he died instantly.

Good work!

There's one thing that it needs

It is a good art. Pretty funny However, there's something that should have been added imperatively and forgot to add: a nosebleed. If that green-haired black guy had his nose blrrding from looking at her, it would have been epic, but now he's just blushing, so it doesn't have much «punch»

Da-Chibi responds:

Emily's just eating ice cream with her bewbs.... she's nawt nekkid. This sittuation does not warrant a nosebleed......yet.

Nice!

Pretty nice job!

Didn't expect to see a Gardevoir as a TF2 medic!

Zelldoom responds:

it quite actually fits, hope they do a mod skin for her

I am a Zombie-Shooter and FPS fan, though my favourite videogame series is pokémon. I've got a lot of creativity so if you need a story-writter just ask me! My favourite pokémon is Blaziken
